John has been listening to Kelly Joe Phelps for awhile, and I think it's the type of stuff you guys might like. You can listen to a few songs on his website, under Discography (just pick an album).

I'm listening to him right now (off his website). I like the sound - well done. I was hopeful to see if he'd stop by the Live Music Capital of the World (aka Austin) on tour, but no such luck so far.
I just found out another band I like - Jackopierce - is back in Austin at the end of September. Think I need to go see them again. Have you heard of them?
I'll keep listening to Kelly on the website now. It's very good background music for typing a report. Thanks for the music suggestion.
