Oh the weather outside...

Oh the weather outside is rainy
But I shouldn't be so complainy.
'Cause I know how Upstate winters go
You've got snow, you've got snow, it might blow.

Seriously, we've got rain. At least you have something to show for December.

What's everyone doing for Christmas? We're sticking 'round here. Jenn's folks are in town. We had Caleb's birthday party today, and he turns 6 on the 20th. Can hardly believe it. He opened his party gifts tonight, and he said things like "awesome!" and "dude!" and "way cool!". Wha?

Stay safe up yonder! Make a snowball for me.

Matt

Yeah we got it! All schools in and around Rochester are closed today. We've got between 1-2 feet plus snow drifts. Matt finally left for work after 9am this morning. Shoveling was a pain and the snowblower isn't working. He only did enough to get the van out. It's calm right now but we could get a bit more lake effect but the wind is the big factor.

I would make a snowball, but I'm too busy shoveling this load of ....

Anyway, it's been pretty cold so snow balls and snow men (excuse me) snow people are hard to come by. Lucas and Connor have been dying to use the new snowman set that Heather found with a scarf, hat, eyes, nose, mouth, and buttons.

Lucas had his first REAL Christmas program on Sunday. The was the very day for all the snow we were supposed to get. We eventually got it, but it was later that afternoon, thankfully. He was so excited that we felt compelled to warn him the night before. We told Lucas that a big storm was coming and we'd wait and see if we were going to make it to church. So Sunday morning we wake up to Lucas Tigerly bounding into the room. "Mom, Dad, it's not snowing and the plow was just by, so...." How do you deny you child that? So I start shoveling out and luckily some kind neighbors snow blew us out for that. He was so proud and we were of him.

Merry Christmas all!!!!

Hey Kris - I know you left a comment earlier. My original post disappeared the day after you commented on it. Blogger was having "issues" I guess.

Matt & Heather - I keep posted on your situation via the RIT webcam. Man, you guys might get a white Christmas after all!

I actually heard from someone at work that it was supposed to rain Friday or Saturday. So hopefully the 2-3 feet we have can out last that.
