Gee, glad we don't have those!
Our house is currently surrounded by 60 year-old bushes that we have to have taken out. They're really over-grown, and haven't been properly trimmed in so long that they're full of holes. That's one of our big projects for the summer.
One of the problems with the bushes is the critters they house. They're full of spiders, and ants. Since our storm doors are also 60 years old, and also need to be taken out (although that's a project I can do alone), they walk right under the door and into the house.I bought some Terro ant killer, which has always worked well for me. I like the fact that it's not a spray, so we're not inhaling it.
So I was reading the back of the box, and I just found this hysterical. I quote:
"Attracts and Kills All Common Household Ants Including: Argentine ants, Ghost ants, Cornfield ants, Pavement ants, Acrobat ants, White footed ants, Little black ants, Odorous house ants, Crazy ants, Big headed ants, and other sweet eating ants."
You know my brain, I'm picturing a house full ants rattling chains in the night, dragging tiny farming implements around the house, swinging from the ceiling fan, leaving gaseous clouds of odors behind and running around laughing like idiots. I'm glad we don't have those!

Hahahah!!! We're battling the rover ant, acrobat ant and fire ant battle. Can't you just invision ants on a trapeze and walking tight ropes? :)
Well all I'm finally back. Matt finally got me a new username and password so I could log on.
Kris a suggestion. My dad just tore out some bushes just as old as yours. He called around to some tow truck companies to get a quote on how much it would cost for them to come and pull the bushes out! I never would have thought of that! Some would do it others wouldn't. Just a suggestion to spare you some back breaking work. I'd check where your pipelines run first. :)
