...We're leaving on a jet plane
Without prevaricating about the bush, we (Jenn, Emily, Caleb, Matt) are coming up to NY this July 7th thru 17th. We are flying directly into Binghamton instead of Rochester, as I found a great deal on airfare right into Bingo. Normally we land in Rochester and drive down to Owego, but that's a three hour tour. However, Bingo to Owego is only an additional half hour of "are we there yets" on top of the day of flying.
(Just an aside: I found the tickets mighty cheap and with great times via this site: www.cfares.com. Discovered this site via a tip from another website. Something to keep in your back pocket, if you've got one. This tip saved me over $500 in our total airfare, and the flight times were unbeatable.)
So it turns out our 10 day stint will involve the weekend of July 14-15th. One of those days my parents can have a picnic at the house. Are any of the hunnies interested? I'm just throwing this out for discussion. We (as a family) make it up to NY once every....well....4 years or so, so this will be our last time for a while; it would be wonderful to see you all if possible to do so.
Anyway, reply on here with ideas or questions or fruitbats or small rocks or churches or.....you get the idea.

I spoke to John, and we can think about it. Google says you're about 3.5 hours from Hamburg. It would be great to see you! Keep us posted as to which day!
Sorry but we'll be overseas those dates.
Hi guys! Dave's birthday is that Saturday, so if there's any way we could do the picnic on Sunday the 15th, that would be great. The boys usually start to melt after an hour in the car so we'll have to use all of our "tricks," but we are committed to trying it because we'd love the chance to see you guys! We'd be able to spend the afternoon/supper time, and then leave after that.
it is seeming like sunday is better for all. Do you have a friend who you could borrow a portable dvd player from? Maybe you could stick a baby motzart in or something to hold their attention. Could part of the trip be during their nap time? Would they fall asleep in the car? We would love it if we could see you guys. Maybe we could do a "hayride" with matt's dad's tractor. We'd definately have enough adults to supervise safety on it. I don't know if matt has talked to his mom about this yet. I'll have him do that this weekend when he talks to her.

I let my parents know that Sunday is better. We'll make it work.
Talked to my parents. Let's do Sunday 15-July since it seems to work out better for everyone. It will just be the Hunnies + our Rochester friends Kurt & Barb and their kids.
So, let me know if that's going to work out (Kris/John, Dave/Sabrina). I know this is a stretch for you all given the drive and the kids; I can't thank you enough for even thinking about it....but if it doesn't work out, I understand. However, if it does work out, we'll be really excited to see you all.
