The Muddy Buddy
About a week ago I was looking on Kid Surplus and found the Muddy Buddy. It looked like just the thing Noah needed for spring. I want to be outdoors a lot this spring, but I've been having a hard time finding something that would keep Noah dry. Our back yard is going to be muddy for awhile. Back in Denmark the kids switched from snowsuits to rubber coveralls for spring, but I couldn't find anything similar here. I generally don't like buying things on the internet, but I decided to give it a try.
The Muddy Buddy arrived yesterday in the mail. It is very lightweight, but it does look waterproof. I guess that is good, since we can layer for spring, and use it all summer on rainy days. I'm not sure how "reinforced" the knees really are. (Granted, more so than the rest of the suit, but I'm nor sure how they'll hold up.) But I am pleased. We'll see how it works out.

Ohh, I am so excited! I ordered some for the boys, too - from another website. Can't wait! I looked on ebay and there were a lot for sale in Australian currency - I wonder where they originated from? Here's to being able to go outside in the April rain! :)
Ha ha. I just have to laugh. My boys are currently outside in rubber boots and old sweatpants to play. Guess that shows what kind of mother I am!
No Heather, just shows you how nuts I'm am!
I know there is no beating mud . . . problem is, it's still so cold out, and Noah is so much smaller than your guys, I'm afraid to let him get wet and be out- it's still around freezing here. He'd probably be ok, but he's my first and I'll maintain my right to be paranoid. (Just wait, #2 will be out this time of year naked.)
I lived in DK long enough to want to wrap him up, too. The kids there can stay out for 6-8 hours a day all year long , rain or snow, because they are in waterproof clothes. I spent many rainy days in a sandbox, and I could have used my own Muddy Buddy.
He's still too small for rubber boots, too . . . but we have a pair of hand-me-down shoes that I'm going to let him trash this spring.
