Teeth

Hello dear friends! We've been super busy for a while. Ruthie came for a visit, a week and a half, and all of normal life gets put aside! That can be good :) Anyway, I just had to write about teeth. Anna has lost four teeth so far! The first one was a complete surprise. To this day I don't know where it is. The other three we saw coming because we check for loose teeth now. The second one I had to pull because it was so loose and she was going to school that morning. Yikes! I told myself I would never pull my children's teeth but a mom's gotta do what a mom's gotta do. Thankfully it came right out, it was ready. The other two came out during nap time or during the night. I found them on the floor! Anyway, no cash for teeth here because that concept is so beyond Anna. And, on a reassuring note, the dentist says don't worry about teeth coming in crooked. They all get moved around as new teeth grow in. What a traumatic thing for kids!!

I'm having fun with our vegetable garden! We have peas, lettuce, spinach and Johnny Jump ups coming up in the garden and lots more seedlings in the basement.

I'm sorry this is such a quick note and it doesn't really tell you how we're doing but Jane is chattering away next to me, asking for this and that. I can hardly think. I hope I can write more later, when the kids are in bed!!

Oh my goodness I can't imagine not knowing, well yes I can. We didn't know caleb's tooth was loose until he complained one night of his mouth hurting. I looked, thought that tooth looks weird, wiggled it, and sure enough it was VERY loose. A week or so later I asked to see his loose tooth, said I want to check your other ones and sure enough he had FOUR loose teeth! The one next to it and his top two big teeth!

How is Anna doing with school? Can you believe their Kindergarten year of school is almost done?! It seems like caleb has a count-down going until he is a First-grader. Almost every night he asks me, "will I be a first grader when I wake up tomorrow?" Since he hasn't lived through a "summer vacation" yet he doesn't quite grasp the concept. :) We might be hosting their end of the school year party at our house. Not quite sure yet. Since the teacher won't allow them to go inside the house that would make a lot less cleaning with an outside party. Thus, I'm more likely to do it. :)

Well I best be going, with matt in Rochester I need to keep a closer eye on the kids.

Have a good night everyone.
