Thanks for nothing, Ike

Yes, I know Houston and Galveston got blasted, but here in Austin we got nothing. Well, I'm sorry - we did get some clouds, a few drips of rain, a knocked over plant, and a whole day after all the Ike hooplah....more sunshine and heat. But guess what? We had that yesterday, and the ENTIRE REST OF THE SUMMER!

Again, I know others had much less good fortune, and obviously I'm not complaining about not receiving destruction....but some rain would have been nice. I'm sure that request sound bizarre to my friends in the northeast; however, realize we're in a drought and I'd be happy for anything.

OK, it's 11:50pm and now we're getting some rain. Apparently Ike reads HunnyHouse. Thanks Ike!

Hey- I was checking in to H.H. just to see if you guys had posted. I live under a rock here, and didn't realize Galvston had been blown off the map until this evening.

I'm so glad you guys are bored with your weather. And you even got a bit of rain. Good. I'm glad you're safe. I'll take the blizzards any day.

We've had plenty- wish I could send you some more. Noah and I have been going on splash hikes almost daily.

Today must have been in the 80's today. Felt like Fall!
