Back to worky

Hi All. We Tinsleys made it back in one piece and in good time. It took only eight hours to drive back and the girls did very well. Anna was very happy to see her bed too! That's a very good sign Kris that Noah liked seeing his bed again. It's a beautiful thing when bed time is fun and longed for by your children! The only extra stop we made on the way home was to Acton, MA where I lived from first to third grade. It was just to get out and stretch. Some day I'd like to go back and find my house and school.

It was back to work for Nate and Anna this week. Jane and I are sort of aimlessly doing little things that need to get done. Playing with the doll house, baking cookies, shopping for pink kitty rain boots, laundry, weeding, watching the deer, etc.

We missed you Matt and Heather. Next time we're in NY we'll see you. Kris and I had an idea of all staying over somewhere, camping or cabins or (how do you spell Shetokwa Kris?). That way we can do fun things together or individually with our families during the day. Then, in theory, put the kids down and be able to talk at night.

I heard from Amber Little via e mail recently. She's out in California working in the printing field. She just bought a home in PA where she's from, as a home for her whole family to use. Just thought I'd let you know she's out there!
Night night.

What a weekend!

First, A BIG HELLO TO THE HUNNIES OVERSEAS! The photos look great -H, can't wait to see more. Looks like you're having a great time.

Second: That was quite a weekend down in Owego! We were all the way to Seneca Lake last night when I almost screamed, "We forgot to take group photos!" John wasn't about to turn back. I hope you got a few shots after we departed, although I'm truly sorry we won't be in them. (Maybe I can photoshop us in. :D ) I have a mis-mash of shots I'll upload to Flickr. Can't wait to see everyone else's.

We took 17 to Rt 14 to the Thruway, and got home at 10 last night. It was a beautiful drive, but we were beat when we got in. Poor Noah was thrilled to see his own crib. He really was a trooper. He's almost back to himself this morning, and saying, "Hey" to all we come across, including cats and dogs.

It was frantic, but is was great. Matt, please thank your parents again for letting us over-run their house. It was wonderful of them to welcome such a crowd. It was great to see everyone, and finally meet all the kids in person! We've got quite a clan erupting . . . a very personable group (if I do say so myself).

How was everyone else's trip home?

We'll have to plan a few vacation days together in advance next time - I'm looking forward to it already.

From Penny Lane

Hi all,
So how is the reunion going? I'm guessing since you are all together that no one will need to post or check on here for a while but thought I'd send greetings from lovely Liverpool. We are into our second week over here. The first 8 days were spent touring Ireland which we totally loved. We spent the last couple of days up in Edinburgh listening to bagpipes and drinking really good scotch and this morning took the train down here to Beatles country. We've only taken about 500+ photos so far but we'll be selective on what we eventually post to flickr. We have put some up there already if you are interested but just keep in mind that they are mostly for the benefit of the kids (who are having a grand time with Mimi & PopPop!). Enjoy yourselves and we'll compare stories soon.
