I'm Baaaaaack!
After a rather loooong absence from this blog due to some internet gremlins Naytie is back on the Hunny Blog! Thanks to Kris who beat back the Gremlins with her special super powers! Well we had a fun Halloween Party with our kids but did not go out trick or treating. However Janie had a trick of her own brewing... like the biggest weirdest rash the next morning that we've ever seen! It's all over her wrists and forehead and the bridge of her nose is all puffed up. She looks like an angry cat, or like "The Beast" from the TV mini-series "Beauty and the Beast"... not that I watched it... much... it stared that lady from Terminator! OK I digress. We've given her benedryl but it hasn't abated much. We think it must have been the pumpkin pulp which she got all over herself. The pumpkin is a slightly different variety from your average carving pumpkin so go figure.
Hope you all are well.

Hey Nate! Glad my "magic" worked. IT's good to see you here again.
Has Jane's rash gone away? That's an odd one . . . especially those areas. Why not her hands? Hope it's gone away.
Nice to hear from you, Nate! And boy, do we here in the Vogler house understand allergic reactions and random rashes!!!!! I hope it clears up soon for poor Jane, and that you get some answers to its origin. It's very unnerving, isn't it? Blessings to your dear family.
I took Jane to the doctor today because the rash continues and her face is more puffy. I'm not sure which is worse, being worried because of the rash or being worried because Jane screams through the entire visit! She has so much anxiety and nothing I say or do comforts her. The doctor said exactly what we knew they would, give her more benedryl and wait!
Oh, Karen. How stressful indeed! So the puffiness/rash isn't improving at all with the Benadryl? Is she wheezing or coughing at all? We're praying!
UH. I know the screaming thing. Noah is low-key everywhere and with everyone, until I enter a dr's office. He screams the minute we see the dr. It's been hard to even get height and weight measurements on him- I've had to really watch how they do it. Twice, they've told me he's shrunk and wanted me to take him to a specialist. He's small, but he has NOT shrunk.
But I digress. What's funny is that the minute the dr says, "I'll see 'ya" Noah starts to blow kisses and is fine- even when the nurse comes back in for shots. I don't get it. It drives me mad. I'm not really fond of our dr (how I miss Dr Cranshaw, Sabrinia!), but there aren't too many options here.
I do hope Jane's rash goes away soon. Allergy rashes are tricky . . . anything can cause them. I hope you get to the cause. Good luck!!
