Twins
Hey dave and sabrina, how are the twins feeling? Sabrina how is/was the visit with your mom. Sorry my mind re-left me when emily was born I can't remember when she was coming. I hope everyone is well. We're still trying to get rid of a nasty yeast infection emily has. Apparently when a little one is on a amoxicillion or any other antibiotic it can lower their resistance to other infections while helping clear up one. So after she was done taking meds for her ear infection she arrived with a yeast infection. Going to take her to the dr. again tomorrow to see if we can get things cleared up. Poor thing. Oh, I was told it can happen to boys too. So if they have a diaper rash that just won't go away take them in it might be something else. Oh hey, here is something really gross for you girls. Did you know that a yeast infection is a FUNGUS? Pretty gross when you think of it like that huh? Sorry guys maybe too much information?

HI! Feed 'em yogurt! Lots of it! Whenever I've been on a antibiotic as an adult (unusual for me) the doctors have told me to eat yogurt to prevent a yeast infection. (great info we're all exchanging, eh?) It has to have active cultures to work.
I hate yogurt, but I've never had a problem, having done this. If nothing else, what's a little extra yogurt?
Just a thought, in case its the taste she didn't like. (Although it will still be interesting for smearing.) The only yogurt in the States I can choke down was one of the Dannon smooth, pre-blended ones. I don't think it was as sweet. Sorry, can't exactly remember the name.
Oddly enough, I can eat yogurt here. It tastes different. I'll miss that.
Hi guys! Sorry, I haven't had a chance to check the blog lately. Yes, had a great visit with my mom - it is a blast to hear her perspective on being an identical twin while observing her grandsons. The babes are fully recovered from their colds - yippee - I don't want to see another bottle of saline spray or those crazy bulb syringes for a long time! :) Hopefully by now Emily's doing better. Another thought on the yogurt thing - they sell kid's acidophalus in the organic section of grocery stores - often in the refrigerated section - this contains the good bacteria that yogurt has. We had the babes on this for two weeks when we were still sorting out their loose stool situation, which has thankfully cleared up now. It's a powder form that can be mixed into food or drink. Just a thought if nothing else works! :) Okay, have a great day everyone and belated Happy Mother's Day to all the ladies on the post - yes, that's you also, Kristen! :)
Cool, and very tricky. You can supplement EVERYTHING in the States! We don't even have folic acid in the bread or vitamin D in milk. (You actually have to eat food here.)
