Royal Flush

If you've ever played poker you know that a Royal Flush is the highest/best hand to have. It consists of the 5 highest cards all in the same suit. Well it seems that is the hand I have been dealt. Five of the same male suit in the Wilber household come July 6. I will remain the token female.
The last 4 1/2 months have actually been really difficult compared to the other 3 pregnancies. November and December I could barely lift my head off a pillow let alone get up and function as a mother. The EXTREME exhaustion even sent me to the ER but every test they ran returned "normal". While things are better than that now, I am still in bed before 9pm (or earlier if I don't get a nap) and I get tired if I do much more than a load of laundry or general picking up.

On a separate note, Matt starts a new job on Monday. He was approached by a former coworker to work for him and while I certainly don't understand all the technical stuff, he seems excited about it so I am excited for him. As he explains, it is a lateral but uphill move, career-wise. He'll now have people under him and working with some new technology but still writing code. In my most basic of understanding, this new company helps other companies manage their energy consumption more effectively. (Please direct all technical questions to the guru himself!) He's 'going green' as they say which is something he at least feels some passion for as opposed to working with wage garnishments in paychecks!

So other than that, life is ho-hum here! lol

Firsts for Anna

Hi Friends! Anna and I are home from church today because she has a cold. She's happy for the moment so I thought I'd write about some firsts for her this week. I think it was Thursday we were playing on the floor together and she was rolling around. All of a sudden she got up on two knees and her left hand and started to crawl! We've been working on this for so long and all of a sudden it's there and it's fun for her! The girls and I do a lot of crawling now! Also, for about a week Anna has been saying something that sounds like and means "Hello!" Words have always come and gone within a few days. She seems to be sustaining this vocal pattern. Let's hope it's the start of some good pathways to build on! Nate and I can't quite believe our ears.

One more note, yet another plug for PBS. Do you all know about the really witty cartoon called Word Girl? I think it's hilarious! They have some clips on the PBS web site and the show is on once a week here in Maine. Kris, you especially would love it I think. OK, that's all. Snack time...
